M2 Cruise Ship
2008 | Los Angeles, Ca
M2 was a school project, between a team of two designers, executing a very brief conceptual race for a competition, that resulted this design in 2nd place.
The idea was to tackle the design in a matter of 30 minutes with the provided programming requirements. Software that was involved to execute this quick brainstorm was through use of AutoCAD, Sketch-up, and 3D Max, dimensioned in meters, following all proper rules and structural restrictions, then to be finalized in a photoshop and PDF exported for presentation. The concept had spontaneously stemmed from the appearance of barnacles permanently attached to a variety of surfaces and particles under the sea, providing various forms of shell structures.
