**About Bodily Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)**
This project is established as a dedicated center for individuals suffering from Bodily Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), a chronic condition in which a person perceives their physical appearance as an embodiment of "imagined ugliness." This perception is often an illusion, as others typically view these individuals as perfectly normal. The decision to focus on this subject for the final project aims to raise awareness about BDD, as it is a term that many are unfamiliar with or have never encountered.
To inform the design of the center, I conducted interviews with advocates of this mental health condition and medical professionals who specialize in its treatment. This process provided valuable insights into the experiences of those affected by BDD and helped identify the most effective design solutions. The goal is to create a rehabilitation center that caters specifically to the needs of these patients while promoting a safe and supportive environment for enhanced lifestyle opportunities.
